The non-destructive tests are carried out in accordance with Australian standards AS/NZS1170 by means of the high-tech specialty REI-LUX equipment.
COMPLIANCE
REI-LUX AUS Static and Dynamic load tests as applicable comply with the requirements as to structural robustness as more fully specified in AS/NZS1170
WARRANTY
REI-LUX AUS warrants the safety of nominated structures for 5 years subject to the limitations set out in our issued certificates
TESTS PERFORMED
Point load Static & Dynamic test for systems <15m high:
-
Street Light Poles
-
Flood Light Columns
-
Traffic Signal Columns
These tests are generally performed on poles that measure up to 15 meters high and in areas that can be accessed to carry out the point load tests. The horizontal point load forces imposed are a simulation of the wind load forces that the system endures during its life cycle in that position. The performance of the pole and the foundation are accurately measured and analysed via the onboard computer. Once the static test is complete and the tester is satisfied with the result, they will save it and carry out a dynamic load test.
Rotation Generator Dynamic test for systems >15m high:
-
Street Light Poles
-
Flood Light Columns
-
Traffic Signal Lights (TSL’s)
A rotational generated load test is conducted when poles are too large or awkward to attach the point load test equipment to. This test requires the use of an EWP to inspect the system and attach the test unit 1/3 up from ground level. The entire performance of the pole and the foundation are accurately measured and analysed using the built fast Fourier analysis software via the onboard computer.
A point static load test is only out in conjunction with a RG dynamic test when it the capacity allows.
BENEFITS
ECONOMICAL
Streetlight poles tests take around 15 minutes averaging 30 poles in a day. Flood light columns tests can vary but on average 10 systems can be tested in a day.
AUDITABLE DATA
The measurement results and all other important detailed information are stored for the final report normally takes a week to deliver.
Poles that are found to be in unstable and require immediate attention are reported the moment they are found for immediate attention.
MEASURABLE INFORMATION
The measurable results provide supportive information to better manage a network.
